Vic's Embers Supper Club ~ Fine dining in Lake County, Florida

      Vic Donahey is the owner and operator of Vic's Embers Supper Club. Celebrating its 25th year of offering fine dining and entertainment to Lake County and the surrounding area. The restaurant promotes itself noting "Great Steaks, Fresh Seafood, Perfect Pasta and Fair Prices" a wonderful example of understatement.
      Vic has spent most of his life directing successful restaurant operations. He operates with a basic formula quality food, careful preparation, tasteful presentation and served in a friendly, efficient and professional manner.
      A native son of Ohio, the Donahey family has a tradition of public service. Vic's cousins have served Ohio as Governor, United States Senator, Lt. Governor and State Treasurer. Vic himself served as Montgomery County (Dayton) Commissioner.
      A US Navy veteran, Vic first lived in Florida while serving our country as a military air traffic controller on the panhandle.
      His first managerial challenge in the food service industry came in Columbus Indiana where he served as general manager of the 150 room Imperial House Motel, restaurant and lounge. Vic moved on to become director of operations of the 50 unit International French Cafes with headquarters in Mount Prospect, Illinois.
      A stint with Dutch Pantry Restaurants in St. Augustine and Jacksonville brought him back to Florida.
      Vic returned to Dayton, Ohio where he served as general manager of the Paragon Supper Club.
      Ready for ownership, Vic again returned to Florida and with two partners opened Squires 3 in Leesburg.
      Vic's Embers was built in 1988 and succeeded in adding luster to an already superb reputation for fine food and service.
      Vic built Dead River Vic's in 1998, the same year his son Victor joined him in the management of the Embers, but sold the establishment in 2005.

Vic's Embers is open seven days a week for dinner, plus Sunday Brunch from 11:30 to 2:30. Our operating hours are as follows:

Sunday - 4:30 to 9:30
Monday thru Thursday - 4:30 to 10:00
Friday and Saturday - 4:30 to 11:00
